KIT School Information · Systems · Technologies (KSIST)

The KIT School Information · Systems · Technologies (KSIST) is the newly founded graduate school of the KIT Center Information · Systems · Technologies (KCIST).

KSIST main goal is to foster excellence in education and young researchers’ training in the strategic area of information technology (IT).

KSIST offers PhD students in the IT area the opportunity to acquire key qualifications as quickly as possible, to deepen their own expertise, to broaden the range of their own competences as well as to gain international experience.

To this end, KSIST can rely on competences across different KIT Departments, in particular informatics, economics and management, electrical engineering and information technology, mechanical engineering, as well as humanities and social sciences.

KSIST offers an interdisciplinary portfolio of educational activities that include the possibility to attend both lectures in the own specialization area as well as soft skills courses, to participate to summer schools and take part in scientific events at national and international level. The courses organized by KSIST are free of charge for KSIST doctoral students. For other activities included in the training program, KSIST offers each student a (limited) yearly budget, to contribute to the expenses.

Besides, KSIST PhD students can profit from targeted individual mentoring and coaching.
